5 tips for a beautiful smile after you quit smoking

Many people overlook the importance of a beautiful smile both in their personal and professional lives. Smiling loosens the atmosphere, contributing to a state of relaxation and well being. Here are a few tips on what you need to do to achieve that beautiful movie-like smile :

1) Brush your teeth at least three times a day, and don’t ever go to sleep without brushing and flossing.

2) Pay importance to your gums and tongue as well, and wash them properly when you brush your teeth. Having healthy gums will keep you off trouble later on in your life

3)Stay away from bubbly drinks, as they corrode the outer layer of your teeth, making them more sensitive and prone to cavities.

4)If you can’t keep off coffee and wine, try and brush right after having these drinks, because they have the potential to stain your teeth

5) Sugar is very damaging to the teeth because of the way it breaks down into tooth enamel eating bacteria

If you’re a smoker, then there’s no point in following the advice about, unless you QUIT.  The effect of cigarette smoke on your teeth, gums and tongue exceeds by far all the other harmful factors, combined together. You’ll be doing your teeth a major service, not to mention your heart, lungs and skin.
