Hello, my name is Amelia. As a result of an emotional shock triggered by my mom’s death, my stomach seems particular sensitive. Specifically, I have frequent heartburn, especially after skipping meals and when eating unhealthy foods, namely fried foods. I would like to know whether this sensitivity will disappear in time, provided I have a healthy diet, and what diet I should adopt so I can be healthy again. Thank you!

Hello Amelia, and thank you for using our site. You can stop the heartburn for good if you pay attention to your diet and modify your life-style. You should significantly reduce, even completely eliminate, fatty foods and fast-food. Give your stomach sufficient time to digest and eat three hours before going to bed, at least. Make it a routine to have fresh fruits and vegetables and nibble on them each time you need a snack (avoid onions and tomatoes which increase acidity in your stomach). Avoid alcohol, coffee, smoking, and spicy condiments.

Here is an possible daily diet:

  • Breakfast: start your day with a bowl of fruits including papaya, watermelon, green apples, peaches, grapes. Have a cup of zingiber tea with three or four slices of toast. Avoid milk.
  • Lunch and Dinner: a serving of natural yogurt, rice, vegetable soup (no corn).
  • Snacks: aloe Vera juice to reduce acidity, toast, teas, cucumbers.

Fast recovery and come back to our site!
